Abstract: Quantization commutes with (reduction, induction)” results traditionally use constructions (reduction, induction) in the category of Hamiltonian G-spaces. In this work, joint with T. Ratiu, we show that a better behaved theory obtains if one works instead in the category of prequantum G-spaces. The theory features among others Frobenius reciprocity and the induction in stages property.
